The steps to success in medical writing are three, and these are the same three for any writing: have something to write, write it effectively, and find a publisher who will find readers for what you write. Most books on medical writing give advice on the second step. These two new books are welcome because they will be useful guides for many house officers and physicians through steps one and three.
