A 39-year-old woman developed severe nephrotoxicity secondary to neomycin overdosage. A moderately high dialysance of neomycin was demonstrated. Hemodialysis is an effective method of therapy for neomycin overdosage, especially in the presence of renal insufficiency. Previously described techniques for neomycin assay have been significantly improved.
