In many medical schools, entering freshmen begin their clinical experience almost immediately and without the traditional background of basic sciences and medical theory. A Primer of Clinical Diagnosis is a text of physical diagnoses designed to meet the unique educational needs of these new medical students. By coupling instruction in physical examination techniques with basic sciences and clinical background material, the authors hope to make the clinical encounter meaningful and relevant to the clinical novitiate.
Ten chapters proceed in conventional order to describe methods of examination of major organ systems. Most chapters are nicely illustrated with well-executed diagrams and photographs.
