This is a book for laymen. Despite the title, the authors don't tell people how to stay well all the time. Instead, they present an informative, common-sense course in human physiology, with frequent reminders about when the reader should seek his physician's help. Dr. Miller wrote The Complete Medical Guide (Third Edition, Simon & Schuster, New York, 1967); this work is an updated version of that book, although much of the material is the same.
