This summary of a 5-year experience with electromyography is neither a report of new information nor a manual for the novice; its potential audience is thus rather obscure.
The body of the book is a description of the EMG in each of the common neuromuscular diseases. The author quite rightly emphasizes the importance of clinical judgment in interpreting the EMG and insists upon the direct participation of the neurologist in the examination—vale orthopedists, physician's assistants, and computors! His reports, however, by being discursive rather than numerical, will provide little guidance for the beginner who searches in vain for a definition
