It is no doubt inevitable but unfortunate that there was a considerable time lag in publication between this English translation and the German edition completed in January 1968. The latest references in the bibliography are from 1966; even Austin and Perry's Agents Affecting Fertility, 1965, is not listed in the bibliography.
