A group of experts convened by the WHO has made a fascinating attempt to link public health implications and planning with the stages, factors, and priority needs of human development.
They provide a comprehensive overall review of the factors that affect human development; some of these, especially in the cultural, emotional, and educational fields are necessarily couched in vague generalities, but others, particularly nutritional and infectious factors, are more explicit.
