Effective poetry, like a Mozart sonata for piano, does not need the clue of a title to tell us what the poem is, or is about. Even less does it need to be wrapped in the skin of a dust jacket that shows the species of its mother or father as an Anglican, physician, musician, or hippie. The physician poet who wishes to write as poet and not as poet physician may be a better poet because of the advantages to him in his work.
