Addressed primarily to the general public and also to various paramedical personnel, this book is intended as a guide to the understanding and treatment of arthritis and back pain. It is well written and factual, has key diagrammatic illustrations, and includes a glossary of anatomical and medical terms; from it the commoner types of arthritis and back problems should be easily understood.
The first part includes a description of the normal joint and a discussion of the various physicians who treat arthritis. I question the advisability of mentioning and almost condoning the osteopath and the chiropractor as "paramedical practitioners" in
