This new handbook on diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical emergencies in infants and children surpasses the usual handbook of this type by including definitions of the disorders covered and outlines of their pathogenesis and pathophysiology. Treatment is presented in outlined detail, including that for poisoning, temperature injuries, and animal and insect bites.
A comprehensive handbook designed, particularly, for general practitioners and pediatricians, but useful for internists and other physicians who have to take on responsibilities as camp physicians and substitutes in emergency rooms, or similar posts.
