As new potent drugs are developed and used, more significant drug interactions are recognized. Since known interactions are already so numerous, a well-referenced source book, such as this one compiled by Dr. Hansten, is needed. This book consists of lists of interactions and is therefore hard to read or study. It lacks a chapter describing and discussing the types of drug interactions. Addition of such a section would enable the reader to predict, anticipate, and remember interactions which he could then verify in one of the tables in this useful book.
