It is not the usual practice of this journal to review symposia, but an important exception has been made in requesting a review of the transactions of this particular meeting. Dr. Kincaid-Smith invited participants representing a number of European, American, and Australasian centres and reflecting both clinical and pathological disciplines in human glomerulonephritis to Melbourne in February 1972. The format was the presentation of papers on selected topics, always clinical, followed by a general discussion.
In the transactions, the histopathological topics include classification of glomerulonephritis minimal lesion and focal sclerosing glomerulonephritis, focal glomerulonephritis (with IgA deposits), exudative and proliferative lesions,
