The discovery eleven years ago of a simple, potent, plasma fraction-cryoprecipitate by Dr. Judith Pool and the subsequent development of concentrates for factor VIII and IX deficiencies have led to the concept that much of the day-to-day management of hemophilia can be handled on an outpatient basis.
