The clinical chemist's bible has been revised; the first edition of Henry's book has been replaced with an expanded and updated version of the reference that has served clinical laboratory personnel since 1964. The text is unmistakably intended to be a working reference book for the laboratory, not an exhaustive, scholarly treatise. The authors' (Bio-Science Laboratories staff) purpose is clear in this respect—to the extent that they have curtailed the number of references from the original 7000.
