In writing this second edition, Dr. Kunin's intent was to "provide practical information on 'how to do it' rather than a scholarly repository of information." Consequently, the book deals with nearly every practicality likely to be faced by the physician or nurse caring for patients with urinary tract infections and does so in a clear, readable style that often employs a step-by-step manual-like format. Readers who are not physicians (nurses, infection control personnel, and public health workers) will appreciate the minimum of "medical jargon" used in the book.
