Eleven highly regarded and established clinical investigators have contributed invaluable multifaceted accounts of a major clinical expression of coronary heart disease, angina pectoris. This result is a monograph that is easy to read, reasonably well referenced, and sufficiently broad to aid the physician in his day to day office practice who is confronted with angina patients. There is balance in presentation and information between the clinical and the laboratory approach to the problem and between the behavioral and physiological influences on the disease process.
