Under a somewhat camouflaging title, this is a textbook of "physical diagnosis" that reflects the blurring of boundaries between primary-care physicians and nurse-practitioners. Could be used equally well as an introductory text for beginning medical students or as a more advanced text for nurses training for specialized commitments. Superior to some physical diagnosis texts in its coverage of the psychosocial aspects of examination ("assessment"). Literature references cover medical, as well as nursing literature. Subject index.
