This well-known, widely-used textbook is distinctive for its generous use of structural drawings and scanning electron micrographs, in addition to the unusual light photomicrographs and cross-sectional electron micrographs, which gives a clearer picture of microstructure than that seen in other similar textbooks. Although "Bloom's Histology" serves primarily as a textbook for medical and biology-major students, it is a fine source for pathologists-in-training, academic clinicians, and others who need reorientation as an aid to comprehending tissue changes in disease.
