To the editor: The title "Echocardiography Manifestation of 'False' Mitral Stenosis That Was" by Ticzon and colleagues in the October issue (Ann Intern Med 83:503-505, 1975) is so cute that the logical question follows "that was what?" The article is really about true mitral stenosis with the echocardiographic manifestation of "false" mitral stenosis. Such a grammatical title of course is far from TV jargon and, while not having the commercial appeal of the original, is a more accurate summary of the article. Spare us such cuteness in the future.
