In the preface to the first edition of Grinker's Neurology, Roy R. Grinker stated that his book was "an attempt at a correlation of certain biological data which are considered of importance to the study of the human nervous system in health and disease." Now, six editions and more than 40 years later, this tradition is carried forward with admirable success by Nicolas A. Vick, who has prepared the latest edition. Over four decades of continuous publication, the text has been fortified by the coauthorship of Adolf Sahs, Paul Bucy, and a host of other contributors from the clinical neurosciences.
