Dr. Priscilla Kincaid-Smith is one of those rare persons who is equally expert at the patient's bedside and in the pathology laboratory. She has written a stimulating book, accurately subtitled "A Clinico-Pathological Study," based on her personal experience with 4500 biopsies over a period of 20 years. Well over half the pages are given to excellent illustrations accompanied by explicit legends. The text though succinct is informative.
