This text is easily read, contains no significant errata that I could detect, and is accompanied by 638 figures of impeccable quality. As the title suggests, the author has taken gross anatomy and presented it in a refreshingly dynamic way by dissecting radiographic images into coronal and transaxial sections and by correlating anatomic illustrations with similar sections displayed by both ultrasound and computed tomography. The interrelation of gross anatomy, radiology, echography, and computerized tomography is not only timely, but gives the reader a real three-dimensional perspective of anatomy and of pathologic processes.
