Biopsies of the duodenum have been obtained from patients with a variety of conditions; and the variations in the histology of the normal duodenum and of the histopathology of duodenitis are abundantly illustrated. The strength of the book lies primarily in the data on the association between pathological findings in the duodenum and clinical conditions. Studies of workers other than the authors are reported but not critically reviewed. The authors' own work provides the most valuable material.
