A group of international experts in anatomic and clinical pathology describe early gastric cancer, pathology of celiac disease, polyps of the stomach and large intestine, mucin histochemistry of the colon, precarcinomatous phase of ulcerative colitis, the endocrine cells of the gastrointestinal tract, immunological aspects of gastrointestinal pathology, and oncofetal and other tumor-associated antigens.
Each chapter is a fairly extensive review enriched by the authors' personal experiences. The bibliographies generally are extensive, with references to classic as well as current articles.
