A teaching notebook in Dr. Williams' echocardiography laboratory was the basis for this book, which covers normal anatomy and various congenital cardiac conditions. The outline format simplifies an extremely complex subject. Chapters on congenital heart disease include sections on anatomy, echocardiographic examination techniques, diagnostic features, pitfalls, and differential diagnosis. Each section on diagnostic echocardiographic features includes a description of definitive features, suggestive features, and supportive features of a particular congenital abnormality. Sections on pitfalls includes the technical and interpretive pitfalls of each entity.
