As a student of esophagology for the past 20 years, I sat down to peruse this book with a good deal of anticipation and I was not disappointed when I completed my reading. The author has done an admirable job in compiling a comprehensive approach to the physiology, pathophysiology, and therapy of motor disorders of the esophagus, from anatomy and normal motor activity to motility disturbances.
