The team approach has finally caught up with medical history! In an unusual collaborative effort, a medieval historian, John P. Dolan, and a physician, William N. Adams-Smith, have written a new book depicting the history of medicine from prehistory to the present. In their preface, the authors rightfully assert that most traditional accounts of the medical past have hitherto often been little more than catalogues of great doctors and their achievements.
