As we approach the quarter of a century mark for Kark and Muehrcke's influential Lancet paper on the procedure for percutaneous renal biopsy, the renewed interest in renal morphology this technique fostered is attested by an expanding book shelf on renal biopsy interpretation. The contribution by Striker, Quadracci, and Cutler is a splendidly illustrated volume of renal biopsy pathology as studied by light, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy and representative of both the common and the less familiar diseases. The illustrations are frequently supplemented by brief clinical expositions in the captions.
