This second edition of a useful book on cardiac arrhythmias maintains its practical approach to this important subject. Under each type of arrhythmia the discussion includes diagnostic criteria, differential diagnosis, mechanism, hemodynamic effects, clinical significance, treatment, prognosis and other associated arrhythmias. The various arrhythmias are profusely illustrated and the text is well referenced. The sections on clinical significance and treatment are, however, disproportionately brief.
Several new topics have been added in this edition. The chapter on His bundle electrocardiography is a good summary of recent literature on this subject. The illustrations were selected from those published by the leading experts
