A trip by "Billy" to the allergy doctor. The author, a pediatric allergist, obviously intends this book to allay children's fears: The doctors and nurses depicted seem to have plenty of time to laugh and joke with their patients. The absence of the parental lie that a shot "won't hurt a bit" is welcome. Here they hurt "maybe just a little bit." The reading level is perhaps a little above that of the average 4 or 5 year old, but parents also may learn something by reading this to their children.
