Proceedings of a conference held 18-20 January 1978 in San Francisco, a major purpose of which was to consider the rationale and potential for development of a vaccine for gonorrhea. Papers deal with all immunologic aspects of the gonococcus, including physiology, genetics, and antimicrobial susceptibility; cellular antigens and antigenic analysis; and pathogenicity and immunity. Concluding the book is the report of a panel discussion on the possibility of preventing gonorrhea by vaccine. Indexed.
