To the editor: I was shocked to see a blatantly discriminatory classified advertisement starting with "Internist—ER Physician: Seeking American medical school graduate. . . ." on the classified pages of the June issue. Your journal has always strived to maintain the highest moral and ethical standards in its editorial and advertisement pages. It has, for reasons unknown, stayed away from discussion of the so-called "FMG-problem," implying that it has no particular policy on FMGs (foreign medical graduates) as such and that they should be treated as any other physician.
