To the editor: We read with interest the article in the August 1979 issue by Nissenson and associates (1) reporting the results of a controlled trial of hemodialysis in the treatment of psoriasis.
We have two comments to make on the selection of patients by the author and on the method of dialysis:
1. Four of the seven patients chosen by the authors for the trial had "generalized psoriatic exfoliative dermatitis," and the other three had plaque-type psoriasis.
