From the title of this book the reader might expect a treatise on methods of rehabilitating the patient with end-stage chronic renal failure. This is not the case. Four of the nine chapters are dedicated to the etiology, pathophysiology, and medical management, material that is more accurately and completely covered in textbooks on nephrology, dialysis, or transplantation. The approach to living with a renal diet is particularly poor, and the chapteris too general to be of value to either lay persons or the medical profession.
