Dr. Netter's recent contribution is generally on the high level of artistic and scientific achievement that has characterized his previous work. He has been aided by well-known consultants and collaborators, who have supplied text, organization, and ideas, as well as by the editor, Dr. Divertie, a distinguished pulmonary pathologist. Naturally, the text reflects to some extent the areas of greatest interest of the contributors.
There are five sections, the longest of which deals with diseases and pathology. The anatomy section has beautiful realistic drawings and revealing views of the thorax and intrathoracic contents. Microscopic anatomy is illustrated by schematic drawings
