Developments in the field of myocardial scintigraphy are rapid, and advancements in our understanding of the function of diseased coronary arteries require repeated conceptual modifications. Any attempt to spread knowledge of cardiac nuclear applications, even though not entirely successful, is laudable. The division of this book into three parts—nuclear cardiologic technique, interpretation of the nuclide cardiogram, and clinical nuclear cardiology—tends to obscure the logical sequence of a particular procedure. It would be preferable to have technique, interpretation, and clinical significance in a unified narrative for each procedure.
