To the editor: We in the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation are quite involved in the practice of geriatric medicine. Many of the features of a modern geriatric service suggested by James Williamson in his article "Geriatric Medicine: Whose Specialty?" (1) are services performed in the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation. We certainly are involved in coordinated service based on a multidisciplinary team. We are quite involved in the provision of a range of activities such as home-visiting for clinical, social, and psychiatric assessment in the patient's own setting and, occasionally, involved in day-hospital care. We are certainly
