Who among us does not encounter and contemplate diseases of the blood vessel wall? Very few. This is a larger, multiauthored text, the intention of which is to provide a thorough exploration of the interrelations among hemodynamic alterations and affections of the blood vessel walls. Quite obviously, many disciplines are involved. Physiologists, biochemists, internists, cardiologists, surgeons, and even rheologists have deep interest in the subjects discussed.
