A number of new books have recently appeared to assist the primary care physician in working with the emotional aspects of patients. A text that has contributions from many authors can provide a comprehensive approach to the many areas of psychiatric theory and practice relevant to the primary care physician. To a large extent the editors do cover the major emotional disorders and life dilemmas, presenting an often detailed, theoretical, and practical approach.
