Endocrinology is a specialty with a significant visual content. A color atlas of endocrine diseases that accurately depicts their characteristic clinical features would, therefore, be useful, particularly if supported by a concise yet well-organized, descriptive text. In this atlas 500 plates make up the first edition. Of these, 354 are photographs of good technical quality, most in color. The remaining 146 include such illustrations as representative radiographs, retinal photographs, outlines of clinical features, and scotoma charts. Histopathologic features are not included.
