Most of the chapters are very complete in their discussion of natural history, diagnosis, and established conventional therapy of specific sites of neoplasia. The introductory sections, which discuss principles of radiation oncology and principles of chemotherapy, are very informative and make this a valuable resource for beginning students of oncology. The title implies, however, that the reader will be directed toward appropriate therapy for any of a large number of neoplastic conditions. Here the guide falls short of its mark.
