There are few current texts available that review both basic and clinical aspects of pancreatic function and dis-
ease to the degree offered in this book. The text is divided into three parts: normal pancreatic function, investigative aspects of pancreatic disease, and diseases of the pancreas. The two editors, as well as the 28 contributors, are well recognized in European gastroenterology circles for their contributions to the understanding of pancreatic function and disease.
