The efficacy of cyclophosphamide therapy in Wegener's granulomatosis is well established. Recent reports have suggested other vasculitides may also be responsive to this drug (1, 2). Long-term follow-up studies of patients with Wegener's granulomatosis have not found significant toxicity from continuous cyclophosphamide therapy (3, 4). A patient with Wegener's granulomatosis in whom the development of acute leukemia appears related to cyclophosphamide therapy is described here.
