To the editor: Experience with chemotherapeutic agents during human pregnancy is limited. We could find only seven references (1-5) to the use of doxorubicin during pregnancy. In all cases the administration was after the 20th week of pregnancy. There is no clinical evidence that the developing fetus was damaged in the cases published. We report here the case of a patient and her fetus in which polyhemotherapy including doxorubicin was given in the first trimester of pregnancy.
