Not all of the written reviews in this collection have immediate clinical value. The most useful to the clinician are likely to be those on the amenorrhea, galactorrhea and hyperprolactinemia syndromes (Molitch and Reichlin); high-fiber diets in diabetes (Anderson); zinc deficiency (Tasman-Jones); thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (Byrnes); iron overload (Brown); non-Á, non-B hepatitis (Dienstag); hyperamylasemia (Berk and Fridhandler); vasodilator therapy for congestive heart failure (Cohn); treatment of renal calculi (Coe and Favus); and cytomegalovirus infection (Betts). The relatively high price is due in part to use of an excessively large type face and a high grade of paper.
