A source book on national trends in site-specific cancer mortality from 1950 to 1977 by age, sex, and race. Tabular and graphic analyses, summary statistics, and absolute numbers of deaths and population estimates for calculation of rates. Each major site is illuminated with two- and three-dimensional charts of trend as well as tables of annual age-, race-, and sex-specific death rates, numbers of deaths, and percentage of all deaths attributable to that site. Unique three-dimensional charts enable the reader to visualize the contribution of individual age-at-risk and birth cohort groups to the mortality trends over time.
