An Anglican Mission Hospital sits on the high plateau of Zambia's eastern province. A vestige of British rule, it maintains a distinctly colonial atmosphere. The over 30 acres of meticulously kept grounds provide a lush backdrop for the rambling brick hospital and the compact personal residences of its predominantly British and Dutch senior staff. The scene is not unlike that of a small New England prep school. Morning and afternoon teas are a daily routine.
