Macdonald critchley, emeritus president of the World Federation of Neurology and one of the founders of the History of Neurosciences Group, was honored on his eightieth birthday by a symposium held at the Medical Society of London. The subsequent festschrift includes a brief biography of Dr. Critchley, a personal appreciation by Ilza Vieth, and 46 presentations on a wide range of topics in the history of the neurosciences. Listed at the end of the book are the impressive honors, titles, monographs, and papers of Dr. Critchley.
