To the editor: I feel a reply to Dr. Keogh's letter in the April issue (1) is necessary. He complains that the present system of awarding compensation to the disabled worker is unfair; I agree. I still believe in liberty and justice for all, and nothing is more distressing than to see how claimants with possible asbestosis are treated. The moment workmen's compensation is mentioned, Blue Cross and Blue Shield immediately withdraw their cover. This action invariably means the workers have to pay for investigations themselves and even when their claim is sustained they often wait 2 or more years
