Finely reproduced drawings of the normal and abnormal retina as seen when viewed with the binocular indirect ophthalmoscope. Much of the content is for the ophthalmologist (peripheral appearances and degenerations, retinal detachments, benign and malignant tumors), but the sections on infectious and inflammatory lesions, vascular changes in disease (including diabetic retinopathy), the phakomatoses, and certain other disorders (such as sarcoidosis) will be useful supplements to the usually constricted retinal views available in most medical textbooks.
